Asé Mora (she/her) is a staff writer for Xpress Magazine and freelance journalist based in the Bay Area. While pursuing a bachelor’s degree at SF State in journalism and a minor in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts, she’s been published by the San Francisco Bayview National Black Newspaper. She covers racial and systemic issues impacting minority communities like healthcare inequality, environmental racism and economic disparities. Originally from Stockton, California, she grew up in San Diego County and returned to Northern California to attend SF State. She enjoys public transportation and music and can be reached at [email protected].
