Astro Carlyle (they/them) is the Fall 2025 online and engagement editor for Xpress Magazine. Originally from San Diego, California, they’re currently pursuing a degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts with a focus on radio and TV at SF State. Astro is the general manager of KSFS, a student-run radio station, and hosts “Heart to Heart,” a show where they pick bands’ brains about their music. They also do camera work for live music at Vesuvio through an internship with The Complex. When they’re not behind the mic or lens, Astro books and hosts rock shows around the city.
