Tabby Ayuby (she/they) is the copy chief for Xpress Magazine and describes her role as a tether between the reader and writer. Transferring to SF State from community college, she’s majoring in professional writing and rhetoric and minoring in literature. She entered journalism to study the fine line between writing professionally and creatively that magazine writing commands. Circumstance-willing, this year she’ll be the first in her family to obtain a bachelor’s degree. In her free time, she likes to spend money she doesn’t have.
