Albert Serna Jr. (he/him) is a queer Chicano journalist from the San Gabriel Valley outside of Los Angeles. He is a senior print/online major and has been reporting in some way, shape or form for roughly 13 years. He most recently wrote for the Boyle Heights Beat in L.A. where he covered crime but has been published in the Huffington Post and WeHo Times. Serna hosts a podcast called the Heel which covers topics and current events for queer people. He has a passion for investigative reporting and long-form journalism and is always ready for a tip. He married his husband in March of last year and has two dogs and a cat.
