Lorena Garibay, Staff Writer

Lorena Garibay (she/her) is a San Francisco State University journalism major and Italian minor. Born and raised in Hayward, Calif, she remains very connected to her Mexican heritage. Her family originates from Zamora, Michoacan, a state in Mexico known for its rich gastronomy, agriculture and natural beauty. Lorena is also a student of Mexican folkloric dance and one day hopes to reach the level of maestra. She enjoys traveling and meeting interesting people and trying new foods. Lorena loves to sing mariachi music and her number one fan is her orange tabby cat, Nastia.
