Bailey Zitko, Editor-in-Chief
Bailey Zitko (she/her) is the returning Spring 2026 editor-in-chief for Xpress Magazine. Previously, she was a staff reporter for Xpress and has had her work featured in The Sunset Beacon. Bailey is a San Diego native and a second-generation SF State student. She covers topics ranging from American culture and public health to localizing how national issues affect her community. When she’s not writing, she’s probably looking for silver linings, listening to Norah Jones or oversharing on Substack. Bailey hopes to continue a career in magazine writing and making people feel seen, so keep your magazine subscriptions a little longer.
Eddie Monares, Senior Editor
Eddie Monares (he/him) is the senior editor for Xpress Magazine. He is a fourth-year student majoring in journalism with a minor in education. He is the former managing editor of Golden Gate Xpress as well as the campus editor for the publication in Spring 2025. He was born and raised in San Francisco, California. Before attending SF State, he was a reporter and editor for the award-winning student publication at Archbishop Riordan High School, The Crusader. During his free time, Eddie enjoys listening to music, spending time with his friends and family and watching sports.
Josh Miranda, Staff Reporter
Josh Miranda (he/him) is a staff reporter for Xpress Magazine. He grew up in the quiet beach towns of San Diego’s North County. After receiving an associate’s degree in film, television, and electronic media at Palomar College, he switched to journalism, realizing it combined his passions in writing and visual storytelling. Entering his final year at SF State, he hopes to emerge as one of the new-wave journalists, documenting the world in a real and engaging way. He primarily covers American culture and politics. Josh passes the time with music, playing Civilization IV or reading.
Bianca Sieraski, Senior Digital Editor
Bianca Sieraski (she/her) is the senior digital editor for Xpress Magazine. She is fascinated by the historical and cultural roots that have shaped the Bay Area and is interested in covering the people, places and things that keep communities whole. In her free time, she can be found in the gym or exploring The Bay via BART and Muni, both of which she adores.
